Fred Rogers is famous for the advice that he shared about crises and other difficult situations. He is well-known for saying, “When I was a boy and I would see scary things in the news, my mother would say to me, ‘Look for the helpers. You will always find people who are helping.'”
We are going to do as Mr. Rogers advises us to do during virtual circle time this week. We are going to look at all of the helpers who keep our communities safe, healthy, well-fed, and educated. We will sing about them, play games, and hopefully find child-friendly ways to show them how much we appreciate their selflessness. Welcome to Virtual Preschool – Community Helpers Circle Time week.

Each day, there is a welcome song & dance, a mini-lesson or flannel board story about the topic of the day, a fingerplay, games, and a story. Parents (and teachers) can also download additional play and learning activities to go with each lesson.

Where can i find the five little firemen
Here is the “Five Brave Firefighters” poem from this morning. I made the “chip clips” from clothespins and this clip art.

You can print a PDF of the poem here:

When I click on the link for TPT clip art, it says, “We’re sorry. We’ve looked around and can’t find what you’re looking for.”
Are you looking for the firefighter clipart? It’s here:

Got it! Thank you SO much! In addition to using your resources with my class, I’m working on curriculum for next year! This is going to be very helpful for fire safety!
Thank you again!
Thank you for all you do! I have been sending my families your links and handouts daily to help them at home! You have no idea your kind gestures are so helpful! A family asked if there was a password? It isn’t allowing some of my families to access the worksheets? I sent over the Goldilocks lesson! Thanks so much 🙂
They do not need a password. Please ask them to download the files to their computer, then open them with Adobe Reader from there. More info:

Thank you so much for sharing so many resources and assisting us in teaching from home. When I clicked on the TPT link, it says “We looked around and can’t find what you’re looking for”
Thank you!
I’ll look into it. Here’s the direct link for your convenience.

You are awesome! I have sent all 51 of my preschoolers’ families to your virtual preschool- you are my hero!
My daughter and I (all the way from Sydney, Australia!) are enjoying your daily preschool lessons SO MUCH, They have become a lovely daily ritual for us both and each day she eagerly awaits “Miss Jamie” time. I am a Kindergarten teacher and just love what you do. You are incredibly talented at your job and it is obvious how much you love it. I can see how much work goes into everything you do too and I really appreciate this fabulous and free resource – I have told and will continue to tell many friends about it. THANK YOU.
Hi! Can you tell me where to find the fonts that you are using? When I open the editable ones like the names on my computer, the default back to a plain font. Thanks!
I am sorry that you’re having trouble with it. It sounds like you are trying to open and edit this name file either in a non-Adobe PDF reader or through a web browser. The file is only editable through Adobe. Please try this:
Make sure you have the most up-to-date version of Adobe by downloading it here. You might have to uninstall, then reinstall Adobe.
https://get.adobe.com/reader/
Open Adobe Reader on your computer first. Then click on “File” -> “Open” and click on the name resource in your downloads.
Please visit this page for more troubleshooting information:https://playtolearnpreschool.us/troubleshooting/
Thank you for all of your resources. I am planning to put links to your virtual preschool for my parents next week when our distance learning begins next week here in Canada.
Hi!
Loving your virtual preschool! Your ideas are brilliant!
I did want to ask about your Betsy books. Is there a way to get hold of them? I heard that they were in the pretend play packets, but would it be possible to get them separately or as a “Betsy book bundle”? I’ve seen more people would be interested in getting them!
Thank you! Stay safe!
Hi Jamie! I just wanted to let you know that I think you are absolutely fantastic! I’m a preschool teacher as well and I admire and look forward to everything you do. You have given me some wonderful new ideas and I so grateful. Because of you, I also have a class puppet named Betsy. She is a giraffe and the kids love her. You inspire me everyday and you are fabulous. I would love to know where you get some of your resources from and how you make books with Betsy’s picture in them. Any information would be great. Thank you again for your enriching ideas! ?
I really want to thank you for what you are doing. You’re in the “hero” group. This must take you forever to get together. And your presentation is just lovely. thank you!
