What else do I need to buy for Virtual Preschool?

What supplies do I need for Virtual Preschool?
Virtual Preschool is meant to be very low stress for parents. All you need are crayons or markers, a pair of child safe scissors, a glue stick, paper, watercolor and/or tempera paints. We have compiled a list of the home projects that will be included in each video for planning purposes. If you feel like skipping an activity or craft, or doing something different, that’s 100% ok too!
I am a teacher. Can I use Virtual Preschool?
Teachers are welcome to join Virtual Preschool to get ideas for their students. They are also welcome to show the videos in their classroom with in-person students and make physical copies of the play pack pages for the students.
It is against our Terms of Use to send the login information home to families to access the classes outside of the classroom or to email the play pack PDFs to anyone. Families who would like access from home need to purchase their own registration to fall preschool. Please note that the materials used to teach the classes (songs, games, flannel board stories, etc.) are not included in the subscription price for Virtual Preschool. All of our Preschool Units and teaching resources for teachers are available in our TpT store.
May I have a receipt for dependent care expenses?
After consulting with my CPA, I have been advised that I should not provide dependent care receipts to those participating in my virtual classroom. Dependent care implies that I have custodial care of the child. Education expenses while not in my custodial care are not eligible for dependent care.
Can I download the videos and save them?
Virtual Preschool is a membership program and the videos themselves are not for sale or downloadable. If you are having trouble watching them, here’s the link for video troubleshooting tips.
Why can’t I print my play packs at Staples?
It is against the clipart and fonts Terms of Use for us to provide the play packs in an unsecured format. Unfortunately, Staples will not allow them to be printed online. It is our understanding that you can have them printed in the store. Additionally, Office Depot, Fedex/Kinkos, and BestValueCopy.com will print them online.
How can I edit the play pack to have my child’s name?
The easiest way to edit them is to download the PDF to your computer, then open and edit with Adobe Reader (FREE). See our troubleshooting guide for more information.
What is your refund policy?
We want you to be 100% happy with Virtual Preschool. Refunds are available for 5 days after purchase by emailing: PTLpreschool@gmail.com. Due to the digital nature of the membership, no refunds will be offered after that date.

Common Preschool FAQ
How can I best prepare my child for preschool?
Here is an article about the best ways to help your child prepare for preschool. Additionally, if you anticipate that your child will have separation anxiety, take a minute to read this post.

What is your teaching philosophy?
Click HERE for a full virtual tour of our classroom.
We believe that children learn best when they are engaged in rich, meaningful play. The teachers carefully plan and organize the classroom so that our students have opportunities to explore art, science, math, literacy, drama, and more during centers. We recognize the importance of kindergarten preparation and work with our students to achieve the skills that they need to enter school. (Jamie is trained as a Reading Specialist, after all!)
What is your COVID-19 policy?
Our #1 priority is the health and safety of the children while they’re in our care at Play to Learn Preschool. Knowing that the situation and guidance changes frequently, we closely follow these professional organizations and adjust as recommended by the CDC, The American Academy of Pediatrics, and The VA Department of Education. We ask for verbal confirmation that children’s temperature are below 99 degrees each morning at drop-off time, and we request children to bring 2 masks to school each day. (Wear one and bring one in the folder.) We wear them when we are inside the classroom and remove them when playing outside and during snack time.
Can I register my child to attend Play to Learn Preschool?
Play to Learn is a traditional half-day preschool program located in Leesburg, VA (USA). We do not offer full-time care or day care services. Because there is only space for 10 students each year, we very rarely have openings for new families. If you are local and want to get on the waiting list to be notified when registration opens, you can fill out the Interest Form HERE.
Can I/my child come visit you at Play to Learn Preschool?
We would love to meet each and every preschool friend and hug each and every preschool teacher who uses our resources! Wouldn’t that be amazing?! Due to a limited number of hours in each day and in an attempt to meet the needs of our in-person students, our own personal families, and all of the people we serve online each day, we are unable to schedule a tour or an in-person meeting. Please accept this huge <<virtual hug>> from Miss Jamie and a <<wing wave>> from Betsy.
Why should I send my child to Play to Learn?
Families who choose Play to Learn are looking for an intimate classroom setting with low student-teacher ratios. They want their young children to have highly qualified teachers who are experts in the field of early childhood education. Play to Learn families appreciate the tremendous level of care and love that their children receive while at preschool. They realize very quickly that registering their child is more than just signing him up for preschool. Registering at Play to Learn means that you have become a member of our tight-knit family. Don’t take our word for it. Click HERE to read what other families have to say about their experiences at Play to Learn.
I still have a question that wasn’t answered in the FAQ. What should I do?
