Five Senses Bulletin Board
This interactive bulletin board is a great way to get some “hands-on” experience learning about the five senses!

Why should we teach the five senses?
Every person begins interacting with the world using their senses, even before they are born! Drawing a child’s attention to the five senses and discussing them increases their understanding of the world around them. Also, by giving them words to define what they are experiencing, they can then better communicate what their individual experience is.
This bulletin board is paired very nicely with the Circle Time unit found here!

Materials:
- A large blank space on a low wall
- Whimsy Clips Clip Art found right here
- Paper
- Velcro
- Some creativity on your part!
Assembly is easy, and while we used a traditional “potato” shape, this board can easily be customized to fit any theme. Is your decor set in a jungle? Try using a monkey! Disney fanatic? Pick a favorite character instead!
Cut out the individual pieces, laminate for durability, and then put one side of velcro on the back of each piece. Then simply put the other side of the velcro in the appropriate spaces on the character.
